Why a Video Download Fails, and How to Fix It

Quick answer
Most failures come from the link, not the tool: a copied link that's cut off, a post that was deleted, or an account that's private. Copy the link again with Share › Copy link, make sure the post opens in a logged-out browser, and try once more. Private, protected and age-restricted posts can't be downloaded by any web tool.

The text in the box isn't a web address. This usually happens when the copy didn't take, and you pasted something else, or when only part of the address was selected by hand.
Fix: go back to the post, use the Share menu and Copy link rather than selecting text, then paste again.
"This link isn't supported yet"
The address is valid but points somewhere we don't handle. Today that means anything other than X (Twitter) and TikTok; Instagram and Facebook are planned.
It also appears for links to a profile, a hashtag or a search rather than to a single post. Open the post itself and copy its link: it should contain /status/ on X, or /video/ or /photo/ on TikTok.
"We couldn't find that post"
The platform says the post doesn't exist. Either it was deleted or the account was removed, or the link lost characters when it was copied, for example from a screenshot or a message that wrapped the line.
Fix: open the link in a browser first. If the post doesn't load for you either, nothing can recover it. If it loads, copy the address from the address bar and retry.
"This post is private, protected or age-restricted"
The post exists, but the platform doesn't serve it publicly: a protected X account, a private or friends-only TikTok, or a post behind an age check.
There's no workaround, and any site promising one is either lying or asking for your account password. Ask the author to share the file instead.
"This post has no video, GIF or photo"
The post is text only, or the media you saw belongs to a different post: a quoted post, the post being replied to, or a link preview from another website.
Fix: open the post that actually shows the media, full screen if possible, and copy that one's link.
"Too many requests" and "We're very busy"
There's a fair limit per person per minute so one script can't slow the site for everyone. Wait a minute and continue; nothing is blocked permanently.
"We're very busy right now" means the platform is rate-limiting us, not you. A few seconds usually clears it.
The download starts but the file is broken or stops
Media links from X and TikTok are signed and short-lived. A link copied out of the page, or left sitting for an hour, stops working. Paste the post link again for a fresh one.
A download that dies halfway is usually the connection. Mobile networks that switch between Wi-Fi and data mid-download are the common culprit; retry on a stable connection.
The browser opening the video instead of saving it isn't an error: right-click, or long-press, the button and choose Save link as, or Download link.
Still failing?
Check the post in a private browsing window while logged out. That's roughly what a downloader sees. If it doesn't play there, it isn't public, and that's the whole explanation.

Why does a download work for one video and not another on the same account?
Individual posts can be age-restricted or region-limited even on a public account. Those aren't served publicly, so they can't be downloaded.
Do I get blocked for downloading too much?
No. A per-minute limit slows heavy use for a moment; it clears by itself and nothing is banned.
Can a downloader get videos from a private account?
No. Private media isn't publicly available. Any tool claiming otherwise wants your login details.
Why did my saved download link stop working?
Platform file links expire after a while. Paste the post link again to generate a new one.
